Experience the peace and quiet of farm life while staying at Otira On Needle's Eye, a working farm on Phillip Island, only 90 minutes from Melbourne.
Otira On Needle's Eye is situated between the township of Cowes and the famous Penguin Parade. Located inland and surrounded by gently undulating cypress lined paddocks. The Island's natural attractions are within 15 minutes travel.
The homestead was built by John's parents in the 1920s. There are four in house rooms; two with ensuites and two bedrooms upstairs, suitable for family or friends travelling together, sharing a bathroom. The lounge room downstairs has an open fire. A delicious country breakfast is served in the dining room. Afternoon tea on arrival.
The Garden Cottage is most suitable for families. The cottage has two bedrooms one queen side bed and two single beds. The fridge is well stocked with breakfast provisions and the children are encouraged to collect the hens eggs to eat.
There are hay bales to run along and John, a third generation Islander, is happy to take guests on a Farm Tour. Local knowledge is shared with all.
