Rookery Wines is a boutique winery located in the pristine conditions of Kangaroo Island with the vineyard being planted in 1986. The climate of Kangaroo Island is heavily influenced by the surrounding ocean which means there is less temperature variation in summer, ensuing ideal grape ripening conditions. Rookery Wines is owned and run by Garry and Gael Lovering. Garry's family have lived on Kangaroo Island for three generations, farming high quality beef cattle and lambs. Garry and Gael are now also producing their own boutique medal winning wines. The fruit is all hand selected and picked, ensuring that only the best quality fruit reaches the bottle at Rookery Wines. Vines from Kangaroo Island produce low - yielding fruit, ensuring the wines have rich flavoursome characteristics.
