Quality Hotel Colonial, offering accommodation, restaurants, and function rooms, is Launceston's most intriguing heritage-listed building. The foundation stone was laid in 1847 with the building constructed to house the Launceston Church Grammar School, and in 1972 was carefully reconstructed as the tourism complex it is today.
