Canberra's northern suburbs have a great new dining venue in Ellacure, a stylish yet casual restaurant serving modern Australian food with an Italian twist. The wine list draws heavily on Canberra District wines and there is an outdoor terrace for alfresco dining. Chef Andrews Hollands and front of house manager Gus Armstrong spotted a niche in the area, which is surrounded by facilities such as GIO Stadium Canberra and the Australian Institute of Sport, Calvary Hospital and the University of Canberra. The restaurant is open Tuesday to Sunday for lunch and dinner and for breakfast on weekends.
