Forbes Railway Arts and Visitor Information Centre is located in the old railway building on Union Street. Although passenger rail services no longer exist from Forbes, the station is used as a pick up and drop off point for Countrylink bus services.
The centre is run by volunteers of the Forbes community in conjunction with Forbes Shire Council. The centre provides people visiting the Forbes Shire with information services and assistance in what ever way possible. The centre also has a large range of handmade goods, arts and crafts, Forbes memento's as well as delicious home made cakes and goodies.
