In the secluded Little River valley in Taggerty, in a park like setting below the majestic Cathedral Ranges, Philip and Christine Challen established a vineyard in 1986. Subsequently they have been making low volume still and sparkling wines based on strict permaculture and organic principles.
In an era of globalisation and the acquisition of smaller brands by multinational corporations, to visit the vineyard, taste the individual character of the wines and discuss the craft of winemaking with the makers is an experience to be savoured.
