Kooyonga Creek Wines Vineyard sits next to a ribbon of bush that runs from the Great Divide down to Benalla in North East Victoria.
Regular visitors to Kooyonga Creek Wines include local kangaroos, deer, echidnas and wombats and the occasional rabbit and hare. You will find a platypus in the spring, trout in the dam and most importantly, gravel in the clayey soil. The creek through the vineyard has gem stones in its banks, whilst the vineyard and winery produce their own special gems.
With first plantings in 2000 the vineyard shares equal areas of Shiraz, Cabernet, Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon. A mild climate extends the ripening period adding to the complexity and intensity of flavours in the grapes.
Attention to detail in the winery is meticulous where a unique combination of the latest technology and traditional methods culminate in a range of fine quality wines.
