Seastar Cruises is the only limited number outer reef cruise, with a maximum 35 guests that departs Cairns daily. Seastar Cruises is the first to arrive travelling just over an hour to the calm waters in the pristine wilderness of Michaelmas Cay. For two and a half hours you can snorkel, dive, walk on the island or just laze around. Birdwatchers can take pleasure in the nesting terns on Michaelmas Cay. Seastar's mooring is so close you can swim from the boat to the island or if you prefer not to get wet, take the ferry to the beach. See brilliant white coral sands, the closest, with its colourful reef fish, is only steps away into the shallow water.
A hot lunch is served while making the short trip to the magnificent Outer Reef of Hastings Reef.
For another two and a half hours enjoy the colourful deep water canyons and cave swim through walls of coral and the myriads of colourful fish of this delightful reef.
