WELCOME TO MERIGAN FARM
Merigan is a 1400 Hectare (3500 acre) working sheep and cattle farm at Mount Fairy NSW Australia. Since 1970 we have been producing High Quality Merino Wool from our 10,000 sheep. The farm is run in a regenerative manner to ensure sustainability and biodiversity in the soil, water and all that grows upon it.
​We also offer Farm Stay Accommodation in shepherd cabins (Hayshed and Cherry Tree) which have allowed hundreds of people - young and old - to get away from the cities and take in our country lifestyle.

Merigan is the name of the local Parish and on Ngunawal country. It has been recounted by indigenous locals that Merigan means Dingo. The story being that Merigan fought the Bunyip and in their tussle created the rivers and creeks across the range. Many sites and artefacts have been discovered in the area over the years.

It’s a southern Australian Mediterranean environment with distinct seasons – it can reach over 42 degrees and in the winter its been known often to snow. Sometimes in summer the easterly sea breezes reaches over the range and the smell of sea salt cools the hot evening.
Providing a tennis court, Cherry Tree - Merigan Farm Stay provides accommodations in Tarago. This property offers access to a terrace, bowling in the bowling alley, free private parking, and free Wifi. On clear days, guests can head outside to enjoy the apartment's outdoor fireplace or simply kick back and relax.
The apartment is air-conditioned and has 1 bedroom, a dining area, and a fully equipped kitchenette with a microwave. Towels and bed linen are provided in the apartment. For added privacy, the accommodation features a private entrance.
During warmer months, you can make use of the barbecue facilities and eat on the private balcony.
