We sit on 100 acres of pristine pasture and bushland ready for you to enjoy. The property is bounded by 2.6 km of the George River. By day, relax on our completely private sandy beaches and refresh with a cool dip. You may spot one of our local platypus. Hand feed our resident kangaroos, emu, white deer and other feathered friends. After dark, grab a torch and explore the property when possums, wallabies and owls are most active. The George River offers some of the best trout, blackfish and bream fishing in Tasmania. Why not try your hand at fishing on our own private and secluded part of the river. A fishing licence is required and can be obtained online or at Service Tasmania in Cecilia Street, St Helen’s. We are the perfect launching pad for exploring some of Tasmania’s beautiful East Coast heritage areas such as The Bay of Fires, Wineglass Bay and the Freycinet Peninsula, the East Coast wineries, extensive hiking trails, waterfalls and the world-famous mountain biking tracks around St Helen’s and Derby. George’s Bay is known as the deep-sea fishing capital of Tasmania. Try an ocean charter or visit one of the local George’s Bay oyster farms or seafood restaurants.
